Art Exhibition Excitement

We are preparing for our art exhibition next week. We have completed some trials of using techniques and materials and now we are working on our final piece. This will be displayed in the hall next week on Wednesday and Thursday with artwork from every child in the school.
We are using pencil, Indian ink, dye and PVA glue to create our work.

Leading The Learning

Dilan, Anvay and Arnav had turns at leading the learning in our class as they presented their Kahoots about oceans.

Hide and Seek

Hide and seek
I was nearly out of time, it was only seven seconds.
I went to the nearest hiding place, my dad's office cupboard.
It was time to get caught. My dad was searching all over.
I tried to camouflage with the devices.
My dad reached out and felt you can’t lie, he said: “I've caught you.”

Harry wrote about a time he was hiding at his house.

Ryan's Kahoot

Ryan presented his Topic Kahoot to the class. There were a lot of questions about the ocean. We all had fun answering the questions and learning new things we can do on a Kahoot.

My Hiding Place

Lying on the hard floor
Feeling rather uncomfortable
Hearing them making a plan
Smells very dusty
Like it hasn't been vacuumed before

Sharing Interests

Members of our class began sharing their presentations about things that are interesting or important to them. Selina shared some information with the class today about Gacha Life, a game where you can create your own anime-style character.

Anvay shared the presentation he made about soccer and James shared his presentation with some fascinating facts about the Bejing subway.

Leading the Learning

Today, Amelia and Chloe led the learning in our class by sharing their Kahoot about the ocean. They used 20 questions and the class had a great competition to see who could answer the questions quickly and get the right answers. Harry won this time, with Tamzin and Tom close on his heels.

Celebration

Congratulations to Georgia and Stefanie who won the competition for designing a label for the Sunnyhills School honey brand.
Together, they designed a name and a label. Now the honey our bees make at school will be called Sunny Honey.

Art

The students in Room 17 created a collaborative artwork. Each student coloured a separate piece of paper that made up a whole picture when put together. Just like all the individual students make up the rich tapestry of Room 17 as a whole class.
