  1. Miss Wall That looks like a delicious meal! I wonder what the rest of Room 17 can come up with for their photos? Mrs Trembath

  2. Comments from Miss Wall - for Room 17 work on Monday 17th August

Lucas Slide 5: What an amazing start to the week as quick as a rocket, with origami, reading books and tongue rolling. I like your imagination turning the fish into a rocket. Have you tested how high it could fly like that? Maybe you could measure the distance somehow. You made me curious to see if I could roll my tongue. Possibly this is something we can practice at home and see if we can all do it when we get back to school.

Sophie Slide 6: Super volcano the other day and it is also so responsible of you to keep your social distance when seeing Olivia .... You're both fantastic team players. How cold do you think the water temperature is in the ocean right now? I wonder how you can find out, without jumping in it.

Tamzin Slide 7: Nice work on your origami fish. I like the way you found inspiration to colour in your fish by looking at your cat's tail. What do you call those stripes on a cat? There is a funny Australian story about a wombat, a mouse and a 'xxxxxx' cat by Ruth Park. You might enjoy it as the characters are very funny.

Stephanie Slide 7: Beautiful colour combination on your fish Stephanie. The folds are so precise I can clearly see the fin and tail of your fish. What other origami things could we make at home or in class next?

Jessie Slide 8: I'm impressed, your snow pea plants look tall and full of flowers. Was it planted from a seed? Here is a science challenge - find out what mineral can you add to the soil to help some vegetable plants so they have lots of flowers which turn into vegetables? Hint: you can find it in the ash of a wood fire.

Chloe Slide 9: Nice photo Chloe! From these photos your cat looks content, curious and calm. What other adjectives can you think of to describe your cat?

Harry Slide 10: You look very comfortable and skillful with your tape measure there Harry. What I would like to know is how long are Gordie's arms and legs and how tall is he in cm?
